Hey fam, I wanted to give you an update on what we’ve been up to and where we are going here at Edison Coffee Co. First, what we’ve been up to: We’ve been roasting a lot of coffee (shoutout specifically to Voltage Coffee for helping us out and sharing their space with us in this season). We’ve also been doing a lot of events. Thank you so much for coming out to True Leaf Studios up in Denton. Thank you for booking us for your weddings and corporate events. We’ve been having a blast seeing you out in the community.

We’ve also been doing a lot of business planning. We’ve been looking back at the last 10 years, and then planning about where we wanna go in the next 10 years. We’re trying to be intentional with how we take these steps coming up. We’ve also been working on a roasting space and an education lab. We’re putting a lot of effort into that. As far as where we’re going, I want to update you on a couple of things:

First, we’re taking it one step at a time. The first step is the roastery and education lab. The second step, naturally, would be a new coffee shop, but that will come with its own planning and in its own time. Because we don’t have a timeline for that yet, and because our spatial needs have changed, we do not foresee that our coffeehouse will be back at the parker square location. I know this is extremely hard for y’all. It was extremely hard for us as well. We are very much experiencing that loss alongside you. Even just the other day, walking through the space and recalling all the joy and memories shared with you was equally sweet and sad. Just know that we will forever cherish our time with you there.

Back to where we are going: We will move forward in wisdom, with the long term in mind, concerning how we can best serve you. That’s the number one thing we want you to know: we desire to serve you. We desire to cultivate relationships and explore beauty alongside you. Not just in coffee, but in art, in experiences, in food, in life. We are eager for the day when we can do all of that again. We are eager to see what that will look like and be in that season with you again. In the meantime, come see us when we have events in our new space. We are excited to host you and welcome you in. We’ll keep you updated on when that opens up.
