This beautiful lot comes from Aquiares Estate— Costa Rica’s most historic coffee farm and one of its most inspiring. Perched on the slopes of the Turrialba volcano, Aquiares isn’t just a farm; it’s a thriving community of 1,800 people and a shining example of what sustainable coffee can be. The farm sits between the Aquiares and Turrialba Rivers. 'Aquiares' literally means 'land between rivers' in the indigenous Hueter language. Led by Diego Robelo, Aquiares is pioneering in both environmental stewardship and processing innovation. The farm is certified Carbon Neutral, Rainforest Alliance, and home to protected biological corridors that support local wildlife.
This lot features the exceptional Centroamericano H1 hybrid, chosen for its quality and flavor. It’s processed using an Anaerobic Natural method—where whole cherries are fermented in oxygen-free tanks to enhance body and complexity, then slow-dried in solar dryers for depth and sweetness. We’re proud to roast and share this coffee—one that reflects the harmony of people, planet, and process.
Orders placed Sun-Thu will go out the next day!
