Back by popular demand, Koke Honey returns with its signature vibrancy—think red plum, rose, and a zing of orange zest. Grown at 1,800 meters in the storied hills of Yirgacheffe, this honey-processed lot expresses everything we love about the region: heirloom varieties like Kurume, Dega, and Wolisho, nurtured in rich red soils and picked with care at peak ripeness. After two days of in-cherry fermentation, the coffee is pulped and dried on raised beds, preserving the layered sweetness and clarity that define this cup.
This year’s lot reflects meaningful growth: an expanded network of smallholder farmers now contribute to the Koke and newly added Birbes Kela washing stations. We've sourced Koke Honey through our partners at Ally since 2018, prioritizing transparency, shared values, and long-term relationships. We’re especially proud to support producers like Semira Negash, whose quality-driven approach earned recognition in Ethiopia’s 2021 Cup of Excellence. For us, Koke Honey is more than a seasonal favorite—it’s a reflection of what’s possible when community, craft, and commitment come together in the cup.
